A PRIMARY school has been told it still requires improvement following its latest Ofsted inspection.
St Matthew's Church of England Primary School in Linkfield Lane, Redhill, was rated inadequate in its previous inspection.
And despite improvements noted by the education watchdog, staff at the school have been told more needs to be done.
The latest report, published following an inspection in June, noted that pupils' attainment in writing was not established, teaching quality was not consistently good, some teaching didn't challenge pupils enough and outcomes for white British children were not yet good enough.
But the report also noted the strong leadership of the head teacher and other leaders, including the school governors, and an improvement in pupil attainment compared to the previous visit from inspectors.
It also noted pupils' positive attitudes to learning.
