A BANSTEAD pub has employed 15 extra staff following a £185,000 refurbishment.
The Woodman, in Woodmansterne Street, temporarily closed for 11 days earlier this month.
Work to the pub, which is owned by the Stonegate Pub Company, included restoring log fires and creating a brighter, more open-plan space inside. Outside, work included the paved barbecue area, outside sofas, wicker chairs and deckchairs.
General manager Graham Reed said: "The team and I look forward to welcoming customers new and old to The Woodman after our refurbishment.
"Our friendly atmosphere and reputation for delicious food speaks for itself but now, with an updated new look, it will be even more enticing."
The pub is preparing for its annual music festival over the August bank holiday weekend, followed by its annual summer fete in early September.
