A CHURCH organist from Dorking raised almost £3,000 by performing a non-stop 12-hour piano recital.
Judith Flint, organist at the Dorking United Reformed Church, played without a break from 7am to 7pm on Saturday, to raise funds to buy a new instrument for the church hall.
Her husband, the church's minister Peter Flint, said: "Refreshments were served all day and many people enjoyed sitting in the hall listening to a great selection of music.
"A number of people stayed for a few hours, and some brought along pieces of music for Judith to play.
"The highlight for Judith was a great hug from her three-year-old grandson when she had completed her 12 hours."
Mr Flint added: "It was a great day and we're thrilled that we raised £2,800 to cover the cost of the piano."
