The incident occurred between 6.30pm and 8.30pm on Saturday, 21 July in an alleyway adjacent to Wheelers Lane and close to the village centre. Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Sean Kelly, said: "We are working closely with the victim and their family during this extremely distressing time and specialist officers will fully support them throughout the investigation. "I would like to reassure the local community that we are going everything we can to find the person responsible for this assault. A second man who approached the offender following the offence and who the victim believed was known to him is described as a white man, in his 30s, with blonde hair and possibly wearing a red top. DI Kelly, added: "At this stage in the investigation we do not know what involvement the second man had and I would appeal to him to come forward and contact us with information as this may be vital to this investigation."
