THIS week Yesteryear remembers the day 70 years ago when 108 lives were cut short after a German bomber unleashed a string of bombs on East Grinstead town centre. The air raid, on July 9, 1943, was one of the most deadly suffered in the south-east and devastated the High Street and London Road, changing lives for ever.
