Managers of a Caterham tanning salon have stood by their decision to turn away pregnant model Katie Price.
The 35-year-old was told she wouldn't be insured for a sunbed treatment at Tan FX in Croydon Road.
Salon owner Abi Williams said on Facebook: "Just turned Katie Price away from a sunbed - ouch!
"It's not against the law, but I run a tight ship and she wouldn't be insured... hopefully see her again once she has had her baby!"
In a statement to the Mirror, a salon spokeswoman said: "Katie Price has been a valued customer for many years.
"She did visit recently to have a tanning treatment and we advised that this was not recommended during pregnancy.
"Katie was perfectly polite and left with her family.
"We hope to see her again once she has had her baby.
"We stand by the decision to decline the treatment, and firmly believe that it is imperative to uphold standards within our industry that is often subject to criticism.
"Many reputable salons in the UK would follow the same course of action."
