THE crowds massed in Croydon Road on Sunday ensured that Caterham's annual international market day was a roaring success.
More than 40 stalls offered everything from pizza and paella to Greek olives and curries.
Other tempting goodies included Moroccan crafts, Finnish clothing and flowers from Holland.
The main shopping area was shut off for the all-day event.
The day formed one of the highlights of the ongoing month-long Caterham Festival.
Andy Parr, the festival's chairman, said: "It was a great day.
"Things started off fairly slowly but as the weather picked up things got very busy.
"At times it was hard to walk along Croydon Road because there was so many people."
