DIRECTOR Matthias Hoene is so pleased with the way his Brockham zombie ad turned out he is considering pitching the idea as a television series.
He told the Advertiser: "The reaction to the film has been fantastic and the Twitter love from horror and zombie fans has been amazing.
"Some people mentioned turning it into a series, which I would be very excited about. I want to see more of the Brockham village zombies."
Mr Hoene, who last year directed comedy horror movie Cockneys vs Zombies, said he chose Brockham as he wanted to shoot the giffgaff mobile phone ad in a "picture perfect English village".
He said: "I was after a place full of charm, innocence and idyllic beauty that would contrast as much as possible with the scariness of the zombies' invasion in the first half of the film and later serve as a suitably welcoming backdrop for the friendly zombies when they join in with the community.
"Brockham, with its lovely shops, its memorable salon, welcoming village hall, dainty river, beautiful houses and perfect village green framed by the cinematic Box Hill, was perfect for what I was after."
Mr Hoene said he found the residents' willingness to join in the fun as extras and allow the crew to film in their homes "incredibly helpful".
He added: "I had a fantastic time staying at the Brockham B&B, waking up every morning to a glistening sunrise overlooking the village green set.
"The only problem was that the full English was so good that my cameraman and me ended up being a little late to set most days."
