TWO teenagers have been arrested after a house party turned into a "riot" at the weekend.
Surrey Police were called to a guesthouse in Herons Place, Copthorne at around 10pm on Saturday after more than 150 uninvited guests turned up at a party which had been advertised on Facebook.
Police dog units and helicopter support attended the scene after neighbours complained of a disturbance.
Several police cars were damaged when officers were pelted with bottles as they dispersed the crowd.
A 17-year-old boy from Crawley was arrested on suspicion of affray while a 16-year-old boy from Brighton was detained on suspicion of theft and making a malicious communication.
Both are currently in police custody.
Detective Superintendent John Boshier said: "This remains very much a live investigation and officers are carrying out a number of inquiries to bring those responsible for the scenes we witnessed on Saturday night to justice.
"Although no-one was seriously injured, Surrey Police will not tolerate violent behaviour against officers and members of the public.
"I would continue to urge anyone who has information about the events in Herons Place to come forward."
Two 17-year-old males who were previously arrested in connection with the incident have been released on police bail until Tuesday 9 July.
